Thank you for your commitment to conservation in Whatcom County and for requesting a mail-in ballot for the Whatcom Conservation District Supervisor Election.

To receive your ballot, please complete all fields on the form on the next page. If you submitted your request by the February 10th deadline, your ballot will be mailed to you in late February. If it hasn’t arrived by March 6, you may request a replacement by contacting the WCD office at (360) 526-2381 ext. 101. Note that replacement requests cannot be processed after March 10.

You will receive by mail:

  • A Candidate Information Sheet (if provided by all candidates)
  • An Official Ballot
  • A Ballot Secrecy Envelope
  • A Return Envelope

After filling out your ballot, you can return it in one of two ways:

  1. Mail it – To count, ballots must be postmarked on or before March 18, 2025. Be aware that postmarks may not match the date of deposit due to mail processing changes.
  2. Drop it off – Hand-delivered ballots must be placed in the Blue Whatcom Conservation District drop box by the office entrance at 6975 Hannegan Rd, Lynden, by 6:00 p.m. on March 18, 2025.

Note: You cannot drop off your ballot at any County election drop boxes.

Your vote may not be counted if your information does not match the records provided by the Whatcom County Auditor’s Office Election Division. You can verify your voter registration at the Whatcom County Auditor’s Office.

Conservation district elections are governed by Chapter 89.09 Revised Code of Washington (not Title 29A RCW Elections). Conservation district elections also must comply with Washington Administrative Code 135-110 and follow election procedures established by the Washington State Conservation Commission.
